John 8 is interesting as Jesus is the lawyer for the woman accused of adultery.
When he wrote in the sand, a Jew recognized he was saying; I wrote the ten commandments with my finger, thus claiming to be God’s spokesperson. Or writer of the law against adultery.
He said if none of them had committed the same sin as this woman then cast the first stone.
He could not get three people not guilty of her crime.
He told her to go and sin no more because he wouldn’t be there to defend her again.
Hw wasn’t saying if all of you are sinless. We all sin and can discipline our children and correct them. But they needed three non-adulterers.
Interesting.
Just a thought or two on translations.
Inspired Expressions from God and How That Translates
I had the opportunity to sit in on a small Bible study group recently. As I watched the discussion trying to make progress I noted each person had at least two Bible translations, and it became painfully obvious progress was going to be limited at best. I believe the problem was that none of those gathered realized that all “Bibles” and the original authors’ writings, are in fact translations. God inspired the original authors by using conceptual visualizations, conceptual information relayed directly to them. A consideration of perfect language is very interesting if you keep track of the term “language” which is the conceptual image behind words. So the problem of translation and translators, even for the original authors, was that they did not understand all the information shared in the inspired conceptual expression. Some of the information was meant for later generations’ understanding in the future.
Now, the problem is did they use the right words in every case to express these important conceptual expressions? The Bible tells us not to argue over words. Whatever the words used, it is the conceptual information expressed behind the words that is important and is seen accurately when considered across all Bible authors. If the authors had understood all that was expressed in the information relayed, would they have used better words to express the experience? Possibly. We need not worry about the way in which the authors wrote, this is one of the main reasons the truth is hidden from the world.
When using trained perceptive power and the force of the “spirit of adoption”, combined with the “spirit of understanding”, we can begin to form a bigger picture of the reality that God exists in, an OVERview.
(John 5:39) 39 “YOU are searching the Scriptures, because YOU think that by means of them YOU will have everlasting life;. . .
(Romans 12:1) . . .Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason. . .
(Ephesians 4:22, 23) . . .; 23 but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind,
(Luke 24:45) 45 Then he opened up their minds fully to grasp the meaning of the Scriptures. . .
This overview or framework, a perspective of reality, that makes it easier to “hear” or “see” what is being expressed behind the words because you now have a framework in which to organize these concepts. Yes, the words carry us to the realizations, one after another, stated clearly in the Bible as “learning yet never able to come to an accurate understanding”, if all we do is focus on the words. However, focusing on the words will not lead you to the goal of becoming a “taught one”, nor will it open the mind’s eye to see, or to allow you to walk through the door keeper’s (Jesus’) door.
Considering translations, remember that the Bible tells us up front that the truth is hidden from the intellectual ones showing the inherent problem with translations, or even more confusing multiple translations of translations. At least the original authors knew what they were drawing upon to describe in the words they used.
(Matthew 11:25) 25 At that time Jesus said in response: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to babes. . .
(2 Timothy 3:16) 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight. . .
(John 5:39) . . .“YOU are searching the Scriptures, because YOU think that by means of them YOU will have everlasting life; . . .
Step through the door now and see the reality that God exists in long with us. God exist now and his reality is not a future event.

Dr. Charles Stanley’s website has a wealth of information and he uses the Bible and encourages.
I like that he believes what the Bible says about salvation, it is only through Christ. His sacrifice is sufficient to cover every man and woman that has ever lived and the billions more due to come to life. Enjoy.

Interesting point Jacqueline, I noticed day 1 is also not said to be good but every day starting with 3 is. Sometimes that which is not mentioned can be as important as that which is mentioned. Would like to hear thoughts on that for sure
Lee, I didn’t even notice verse 1, got to go look at it again. When Jehovah is the actual speaker or Jesus, they don’t leave anything out even future events.
God can not lie! He even said he regretted wiping out everything so separating the waters was not going to be good ultimately for the thing created MAN!
We can see many sides to scripture but there are at least 2 sides to what Jehovah says and what he doesn’t say.
I hate to keep whipping the same dog but Rev. 20 where he says satan will be tormented from the ages to the ages, but he doesn’t mention the “anyone else” that he has thrown into the lake of fire and their torment. Since this was prepared for the devil and his demons.
We know that Adamic death is sleep, Jesus said so because he will awaken every soul that has lived. But we are dealing with another time period.
I have learned to listen and wonder silently sometimes on what Jehovah has chosen not to reveal to us.
He didn’t reveal the day or hour to Jesus so we just have to be in awe of Our Father.
Omnipotent is not a word that we heard while witnesses but it mean “No limit to Power or anything.” That can only be said of Jehovah.
1Cor 15:”…27For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him. 28And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all. 29If these things are not so, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?…
Jehovah did not declare day 2 as Good. Was it because these would be the waters that would destroy the world of old. And it wouldn’t be good maybe?
Genesis 1:6-8
6 And God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 And God made the firmament and separated the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
The Bible says more about our dayin prophecy and the SECOND coming of Christ than it did about the first coming and any other one subject in the Bible.
There some people that don’t believe the Bible is true or relevant.
Satan believes it and knows it is relevant.
He has also read the end of the Bible and knows Jesus wins.
And that Jehovah God just winks because He saw it all before He made us.
I hope we are smarter than the devil and our enemies.
Chuck Missler will help you read it verse by verse so you can see the end, we win! Enjoy
Lee Anthony, TedR, have you or anyone thought about something I haven’t heard people mention,
” The (2) Angel’s at the foot and head of where Jesus lay in the tomb”?
Also when Jesus ascended, there were “Two Angel”.
Were these the same two Angel’s from the tomb?
Nobody talks about the two Angel.
Just thinking.
Hi Jacqueline, you OK?
You asked a great question here and I just think of what Jesus said that “his return would be like lightening flashing across the sky”. Now that is very visible so obviously his return will be too.
Nubby Tope, how are you?! So glad to hear from you. I hope all is well in your land.We are all. okay here and keep in touch with each other so we know if they get sick
I agree with you lightening is seen very visibly. I hope this defiance of Jesus’ words is not intentional but just brain fuzz.
But to cover up mistakes instead of just saying oops, I understood that wrong, there is a continuance of this for over 100 years now. He has not returned yet but the timeline indicates that it is very near.
Not being a part of men honoring groups and commune with those that respect Jesus only as their leader is making it pleasant and easy for us here. We just love it.
Nubby, I keep my eye on Israel. God is not finished with HIS people. They are a barometer. Their blindness will dissipate when they see Jesus and Michael come to help them.
But the world has the internet now and can share and talk with Christians from all over the world.
No longer do they have to rely on huge publishing companies sending materials like books and magazines to their home to manipulate their minds.
There is open discussion. We are doing so well with our little Small Group Bible Study.
There are so many small groups using just the Bible popping up all over the world. They used to call these groups the “Unchurched”, but now they have stood firm and had even the Major religious groups join them.
Covid-19 equalized all religions, what a blessing it has been to see the ministers humbly go to zoom and break the large groups down!
It may have been by unfortunate circumstances but now more can think without the pressure of men standing on a platform and committees punishing you if you don’t comply.
I just love this new normal (of course not the deaths of loved ones). Everything has slowed down so much.
We would love to be able to talk to you on zoom.
There is a time I believe that it is the evening for you but midday for us isn’t there?
Our little group could make that happen. This technology is one we have been on for a long time now. Zoom is easier than Big Blue Button or Adobe Connect.
Let us know so you can tell us some of the things you have learned, in person on Zoom. Some of us can adjust to any schedule.
Nubby Tope, I think I am getting comments to your post sent directly to me. It would be nice if they would reply directly to the site.
The answers just revolve around the saving of face for Russell who is deceased now and there is no need to atone for the dead.
I am referring to the present where small bands of people still push and believe that Christ has returned in 1874 and a larger band says in 1914. I don’t think either you or I am thinking in terms of over 100yrs ago. They really need to let the thoughts of the deceased die with them and not feel they have to atone for them. God was not wrong or even concerned if men got it wrong so far back in time, they were trying. Russell and his brothers back there are just like us trying to figure it out.
We all make mistakes and corrections. We are human. Russell was human and no more than say, my father or another Bible reading man or woman today. He is just a simple man like all of us.
I am replying here to maybe clear it up with the people reading but afraid to express themselves directly here. It is taught that women aren’t supposed to preach, so maybe that is why the women won’t reply openly.
Although that is not true. All Christians can openly discuss and preach and teach about Jesus.
All are free to reply directly on the site as I really can’t answer text messages that might be 11 strings long or more. I can’t answer emails directed to me. I simply glance over them and discard them. so this should save time because I don’t read the emails completely if they are the same as all others, but others reading on this site might have never heard it and it would be beneficial to them.
We love all of our brothers in Christ especially those alive today. not
Here is a thought : all prophecies about the 1st coming of Christ literally happened as stated.
Mary was literally a virgin.
Jesus was literally born in Bethlehem.
Hosea 11:1 Out of Egypt God literally called Jesus .
He literally died and was raised.
They literally pierced his feet and allotted his robe
And on and on on the literal fulfillment of prophecy.
So why is it his second coming is spiritualized by so many in Revelation.
He literally taught in parables as foretold.
Matt. 11 John sent to ask Jesus was he Messiah of should they look for another? He said go tell him what you see. He was literally fulfilling Scripture.
Why the teaching he came back invisible in 1874 or 1914? How do they arrive at a non literal return of Christ.
One thing Jesus warned was do not be deceived.
He said don’t follow those who point to a special return of him, in the wilderness etc.
When you began spiritualizing, the sky is the limit. The pattern is to look to interprete prophecy the way it is written.
Jesus will literally return to Israel and the Jews are literal.
God is not finished with His people. Christian’s have not taken the place of the Jews as we are taught.
Just some thoughts.
? Well said, I cannot put God in a box, I dare not add to his word nor take away (Deut 12:32)(Rev. 22:18-19) Allegory, spiritualizing, and turning all these things into symbols when they are many times not implied and where there is only the thought of keeping ones tradition or doctrine in place is a danger. There are places we cannot say for sure, interpretation is needed but to TEACH it as TRUTH is a danger (Jas 3:1) The body of Messiah is for the work of serving and for the building up of the body not the tearing down of the body. Our world is getting darker and soon we will have the need ever more to reach out and help one another, will we when the time comes? (Heb 13:1-3) for it will come, (Matt 10:40-42) Or will we turn away a member of the body cause of disagreement over times and seasons? Perhaps he Has come already and all these things that have been written and sealed until the time of the end have been fulfilled then why wait at all? Why study his word and look for him in the clouds since he is invisible we would not see him? Will the angels that said that we will see him return the same way that he was seen going be found a liar? (Acts 1:9-11) Will not the Lord himself be found wanting when his words that all the earth will mourn when they see the son of man coming on the clouds with power and glory are found to be untrue and perhaps changed by the Father at the last minute and done away with like all his other words? (Matt 24-30-31). Even in his revealing, the uncovering that Yeshua received from his Father to show his servants he has repeated these same things that he himself said before and that the angels said as well that He will come with the clouds and every eye will see him .(Rev. 1:7) What about that loud trumpet sound? I had not meant to even speak of this but it could not be helped as it is one of the very things that divides many in the body, the interpretation of scriptures that are stated clearly by our Lord but are twisted and changed to be something of ones own understanding and taught to be true and if ignored then so will the one who ignores be ignored themselves by the rest and likely even by the master also, or so it is taught….It is God himself who divides and sets apart his people and it is this thought that seems to indicate who will stand in that day, Lord willing we will see it as hard as it may be, it is “those who keep the mitzvot of God and the faith of Yeshua” (Rev 14:12) My prayer and my Lamentation for this Day.
When reading and studying the Bible words and context are everything, who he is talking too and why.
I have learned to read complete books of the Bible not jump all over to prove a point. Russell said if we studied just the Bible without the Studies in the Scriptures we would go into darkness in two years. But you could study the SITS without the Bible and understand God’s plan, What arrogance! Sept 15, 1910 page 298
“It’s important to remember that WE are not in the Bible. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself and His unfolding, eternal plan to redeem mankind. When we read Scripture, we are reading God’s story of His interaction with real people who have lived over thousands of years. He is sharing, especially in Revelation, how things are going to turn out. He is sovereign and says what he means and means what he says. We might not agree with how he will deal with Satan, the beast, false prophet, or judgment of those that absolutely refuse to submit to him. But it is his sharing what he has already seen.
He is not waiting for us to approve his methods, He is Sovereign God. He reveals His authority, grace, mercy, justice, and eternal power. This almighty, eternal God has called us to Him, and He has revealed His will, His love, and His faithfulness in His living word.
For us to say a God of love wouldn’t do this or that when he says definitely that he will, is to put ourselves in the narrative of his lovingly revealing his plans, man has been given plenty of time to straighten things out. He will punish.
Putting the teachings of a Founder of a religion above God’s word and allegorizing the entire book of Revelation because you don’t agree that a person should suffer harsh judgments for sinning just a few thousand years is really not understanding the righteous Sovereignty of Jehovah God and questioning how He is going to rule His World.
We are created beings for Jehovah and Jesus to love, tent with, and enjoy.
The Bible, including Revelation, is his journey with man, His story. It isn’t about us. But he lovingly shares and includes us only if we willingly submit because we love him.
