   REVIEW:

   A word-for-word Greek to English Interlinear translation of the verses we\’re studying (minus the Strong\’s numbers and the original Greek words).

   (Revelation 21:1 IGNT+) AND I SAW A HEAVEN NEW AND EARTH A NEW; FOR THE FIRST HEAVEN AND THE FIRST EARTH WERE PASSED AWAY, AND THE SEA NO IS LONGER.

   (Revelation 21:2 IGNT+) AND I JOHN SAW THE CITY HOLY, JERUSALEM NEW, COMING DOWN FROM GOD OUT OF THE HEAVEN, PREPARED AS A BRIDE ADORNED FOR HUSBAND HER.

   QUESTION:
   What about when human theories, science and discoveries seems to contradict the Bible?
   Several of our Fellowship expressed thoughts, historical examples and Scriptures (Ex: Gen_3:1-5; 2Co_11:13-14; 2Pe_3:5; Isa_29:16) concerning this.

   Then, we began our study with Rev_21:4.

   Continuing theme that everything is going to be new.
   If there\’s \”first things\”, we know there\’s going to be additional things.

   QUESTIONs:
   What is time frame for this?
   AFTER the Millennium, because in Rev_20:2; Rev_20:7; Rev_20:10; Rev_20:14, satan has been abyssed, loosed, then destroyed, and after 1Co_15:24-26.
   So, Scripturally, death is still part of human existence until AFTER the Millennium has concluded.

   What condition concerning humans HAS to have been met for these events to occur?
   Rev_21:2 – Bride, not yet married, but ready to be wed.
   Coming down \”from God\” – Bride has the Name of Son and the Father. This seems to be the 144,000.
   See Mat_22:1-14

   Also, for earthly humans:
   Rev_21:3 –
   Humans must have reached perfection – no longer under the curse of sin – in order for YHWH to tabernacle (dwell) with them.
   Humans must have bodies to enable them to dwell with YHWH. 1Jn_3:2

   Wipe away every tear fulfills the promises in Rev_7:17 and Isa_25:8.
   Not a tear shall ever be shed then. How different will that be from the condition now – for who now in our Fellowship has never agonized and cried?

   No more death G2288 G2348 goes far beyond the earlier promise of Rev_7:16, which promises freedom from hunger, thirst, and scorching heat.
   Not a grave shall ever be dug!
   How different from now, where death is so common;
   where it spares no one;
   where our best friends die;
   where the wise, the good, the useful, the lovely die;
   where fathers, mothers, wives, husbands, sons, daughters, all die;
   where we habitually feel that we must die.
   Nothing is more common than death.
   YHWH\’s Promise is that we will never see death again; nor we will never ourselves die after this point in time.
   We will never follow a relative or friend to the tomb, nor fear that an absent relative or friend is dead. The slow funeral procession will never again be witnessed; nor will the earth ever be disturbed to furnish a grave. (1Co_15:55)

   Death was defeated already by Jesus\’ resurrection.

   Neither sorrow – G3997 G3958 – denotes sorrow, mourning or grief of any kind;
   sorrow for the loss of property or friends;
   sorrow for disappointment, persecution, or care;
   sorrow over our sins, or sorrow that we love YHWH so little, and serve him so unfaithfully;
   sorrow that we are sick, or that we must die.
   How innumerable are the sources of sorrow here; how constant is it today!
   Since the fall of man there has not been a day, an hour, a moment, in which this has not been a sorrowful world; there has not been a nation, a tribe – a city or a village – not even a single family, where there has not been grief.
   I believe that there has been no individual who has been always perfectly happy.
   No one that I know rises in the morning with any certainty that he may not end the day in grief; no one lies down at night with any assurance that it may not be a night of sorrow.
   How different it will be when from this point on there will be no sorrow!

   Nor crying – κG2906 G2896 ” This word denotes a cry, an outcry, as in giving a public notice; a cry in a tumult – a clamor, Act_23:9; and then a cry of sorrow, or wailing.
   This seems to be its meaning here, and it refers to all the outbursts of grief arising from affliction, from oppression, from violence.
   It seems to me that as none of these causes of wailing will be known in the future state, all such wailing will cease.
   This, too, will make our future existence vastly different from our condition now; for what a change would it produce on the earth if the cry of grief were never to be heard again!

   Neither shall there be any more pain G4192 G3993 – There will be no sickness, and no calamity; and there will be no mental sorrow arising from remorse, from disappointment, or from the evil conduct of friends. And what a change would this produce – for how full of pain is the world now!
   How many lie on beds of languishing, that is, being feeble; losing strength; pining; withering; fading;
   how many are suffering under incurable diseases;
   how many are undergoing severe surgical operations;
   how many are pained by the loss of property or friends, or subjected to acuter anguish by the misconduct of those who are loved!
   How different would this world be, if all pain were to cease forever; how different, therefore, must the state of the future be from the present!

   Former (first) things have passed away echoes both v. Rev_21:1 and 2Co_5:17.

   This is perhaps the most hopeful (for humans) Scripture in the Bible.
   Where governments attempt to care for food and shelter – this Promise takes care of the PERSONAL.
   Only YHWH can take care of all these things for His children.

   Brother Dave,

   I very much agree with the manner of getting to know the truth you all use on this site. It has resulted in many many good deductions as I have been able to peruse.

   I myself did the same as a Witness years ago because as Paul explained, accurately learning fromChrist and the Apostles is required sowe can fully understand God, Christ, and their directions for worship, as it means eternal life and presently a blessed ministry and happiness.

   God is a Spirit and we must worship him with Spirit and truth, Son said. J4:23,4

   So now I will endeavor to log in so I may post comments myself on topics you all have discussed to share my view. I liked the 20 minute audible intro you give : well spoken and so true about the purpose of Berean Bible study’s method, and also your humble wrap up, that in the end our opinions are all that stands ON SOME POINTS…..while others are crystal clear.

   I look forwardto sitting in on these studies on Thursday nite. I will be more attentive to the program scheduled discussion as I have stated my important thoughts last time.

   I m sorry I thought I knew you previously but that was a mistake it was another Bible student from years ago.
